I don’t write books for children but…
I don’t write books for children but could understand why some people think that I do. Since I began my post as Writer in Residence for Portsmouth libraries I have done a lot of work with children in schools. This has led to my Facebook author page being brightened up by photographs of me surrounded by hundreds of school children. Sadly – as much as I would like to be able to enhance children’s lives by writing books for them to enjoy – I don’t have the specific skills to do so.
So hello to all my new visitors to this website, Twitter and / or Facebook author page. To clear up any confusion – I would just like to confirm that I am an author who writes commercial fiction and nonfiction for adults (click on the Books or Other writing tabs under my website header for more information).
Last week was great fun and (in-between working full time at my other two jobs) included a visit to Rant Studio on Wednesday to record an hour of my writing for a podcast. This will be released in 15 minute increments on the (free) Portsmouth Writers App.
Friday was spent helping the students at Copnor Infants School create stories. In teams of two or three they came up with 94 flash fiction stories which will be included in the WeLL What’s Your Story collection.
What did your week have to offer you?
