Autism: 1 in 110 are diagnosed with Autism every day. This is more than most any other disorder or disease. Parents and Families have many places to go to obtain information about Autism, but not many places to share and connect with one another - and with the world - their story. We've Launched this site in order to provide both connectivity AND awareness about the Autistic Spectrum Disorder. With Autisable being a part of the Xanga Network of sites, we're sure awareness and understanding about the disorder can be shared rather effectively. By sharing the struggles and victories both in the homes and outside the home, we hope to be of service to the Autistic community, so others are able to obtain those victories also. Thanks to Xanga.com and the Brain Fried Network, a portion of the revenue generated from the Autisable community of bloggers will be donated to Autism Research.

I am a married father of a 7 year old son who has autism. I have an upbeat blog called Autism Light to spread awareness of Autism's Diverse Heroes. The blog highlights people, resources, organizations, and other things that are a light to the cause of autism. I've learned a lot by the research required to do these and hope you will gain something too. I believe it is better to light a candle than to curse the autism.
