- About Me: I am an author, speaker and blogger. My eldest son was diagnosed with ASD in 1997, and my book David's Gift is the story of our journey. When David was diagnosed their was little information available and life for us (and him) was very difficult. He was bullied often and as a consequence left school in Year 10. As a family we went through some very hard times and many times I felt as if we would not survive as a family. However, today - David is 25 and recently graduated from University! My husband and I have been married for 28 years and we have two other daughters who are on their own paths to success. If you had told me 10 years ago that this is where we would be now, I would never have believed you!
