I found a study that has explained so much to me about some of the Atheists on Xanga.
People who are atheists are more likely to have autism. Here is the link:
Link When I was a kid, I saw a child who was taught a bunch of dates and he was autistic. He could remember all of the dates. It was impressive. I think it makes sense to teach autistic people facts and figures because they can memorize them but they tend to struggle with more complex concepts.
That has been my general impression of Atheists on Xanga. They can repeat facts and figures but they struggle to process information that is more complex.
Some Atheists complained that xanga created
Revelife for Christians but did not create an ish site for Atheists. I think they just thought
Autisable covered the Atheists.
Is it me, or does it appear that Atheists struggle to process complex information?

You're a fucking idiot.
I've heard of this study & read it, it is plausible bc autistic esp ones with aspengers think very VERY black & white they have a hard time processing things in the middle that have no physical proof.
But in contrast if you are their 1st teachers that really pay attention to them ( alot with A are outcasted) you have more impact in their lives & to what they get in the "grey" area. btw I have several in my life with this so no You don't know Squat comments)
I'm a Christian and have been in the ministry for 36 years, and it is my ministerial opinion that you are an asshole.
and people say you never blog
@ColdSkivvies@xanga - your comment made LOL & we too are in the ministry.
@ColdSkivvies@xanga - That's very Christian of you.
@TheTheologiansCafe - My niece and nephew are autistic so I am familiar with this mental disorder. They both sing Christian hymns and know Bible verses, but the profundity of the affliction would seem to make it hard to pinpoint whether or not either one is truly an Atheist. I don't think so for they seem to truly enjoy chuch. You pose an interesting question, really. Is it intelligence, rote, wisdom, or love? I'll go with the latter as they were both baptised in the name of Christ.
@ColdSkivvies@xanga - You DO realize Dan just trolled the hell out of you, right? I mean, you can't possibly be this dense.
[Is it me, or does it appear that Atheists struggle to process complex information?]
This, coming from the person who posts three sentence blogs.
It's official, Dan, you've become just as much of a troll as Curtis.
Oh, and as far as atheists (it's not capitalized, since we aren't a religion) being unable to "process complex information," do you want to consider that 93% of the National Academy of Sciences is atheist? Or that atheism also correlates with both a higher IQ and higher education? Or that atheists have a much lower incarceration rate compared to population demographic than any other self-identified belief system?
@ColdSkivvies@xanga - I've never agreed with a Christian more in my life.
@GodlessLiberal@xanga - Don't fall for the bait, Krisko.
@bloggicus_maximus@xanga - Why not? Had I posted anything that claimed that a site for people with a mental condition was solely for Muslims, I'd probably be kicked off that site, and there's a chance the same would be true for Xanga in general. We also know that Dan is a homophobic right-wing "Moral Majority" Christian, so I actually think he believes some of the hateful bile he spews out at people under the guise of "good fun" and "trolling" and "just asking a question."
@GodlessLiberal@xanga - Because then it gives him an excuse to keep doing this crap.
@bloggicus_maximus@xanga - This is the first time I've visited this site. Are you saying that this is Dan incognito? If so, then apparently I AM that dense...lol. (but he's still being an asshole)
@ColdSkivvies@xanga - Look in the About the Author section. It links back to Dan. It's Dan being Dan, don't really see why everyone keeps bitching about him. He's nowhere near as bad as Curtis/Loborn/whichever fucked up identity he has now.
(Seriously though, I can see how you missed it.)
@bloggicus_maximus@xanga - He'll keep doing this regardless. I think Dan had a Xanga account before Xanga existed.
@GodlessLiberal@xanga - Dan IS Xanga. We're all just bits of code that flow into the swirling maelstrom that is Dan.
Is this a joke? o.O How silly. I disagree highly with this..Atheist don't always have Autism, I mean the entire basis of this is because whoever did this theory believes that Atheist have Autism because a lot of Autistic people have a hard time understanding or coping with things correct? Therefore OF COURSE it stands to reason that people who don't believe in anything like god or whatever MUST HAVE SOME FORM OF AUTISM! /end sarcasm....
& honestly, I find this rather offensive in the whole. Then again it IS Theo. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised.@bloggicus_maximus@xanga - I can't believe I missed that!
no pun intended, but this might be the most retarded thing i've ever read. and Christians wonder why no one loves them as much as their god...
also, from my perspective it's theists who have issues with complex ideas. they cannot fathom a better answer for existence than an imaginary friend who did everything and makes them feel special.
I wonder how much of this entry you actually believe and actual nuance in which you think it true.
lolol you mixed the "atheist" and "christian" columns up.
@mizzalex@xanga - shh noo the PC term is autistic.
Men tend to be rapists, caucasians tend to be racists, and Christians tend to be anti-gay bigots. Thin slices of each these demographics-- wholly unconnected from the larger majority-- bias the statistics.
Yes: Forms of autuism do bias towards atheism. But most of us aren't atheists because of it. The vast majority of us ar athesits, for the willingless to assess the world impartially, the ability to weigh all the considerations, and the character to accept what is right even if it outside the warm radiance of family, culture, and false promises.
Great post, Dan. Too bad it's so controversial that the blinkers automatically come on.
@Celestial_Teapot@xanga - Dude, you're just a HFA, lol. ;)
I wonder how many atheists who pay attention to Dan are autistic. I know some who have severe problems with reading comprehension, like agnophilo. I was trying to figure out why. He kept trying to pigeonhole me into a stock Christian pigeonhole and then accused me of moving the goalposts when I corrected him. I don't have any experience with autistic people that I know of. Maybe someone could let me know if agnophilo exhibits traits of autism. I don't think that agno's a troll, but communicating with him is very difficult.
It's like one of those test questions... if all Zickles are Zorks, and some Zorks are Sproggers, does that mean that all Zickles are Sproggers?
@Magikaimee - Ich sprache nicht deine schweinscheiss.
