Lining up my M&Ms
We had some coloured popcorn left over from Annie’s party so I busted it out for afternoon tea when friends came over. It was fascinating to watch all the spectrum kids picking through the popcorn.One child had to take one of each colour, another would only eat pink, third child was unimpressed that the popcorn was not ‘normal’ and wouldn’t eat any.
It reminded me of when I was younger – I could only eat M&M’s and smarties if I emptied out the packet and lined the different colours up in rows, then I would the colour I had most of first and the colour I had least of last.
Odd the things you remember watching kids have afternoon tea.

haha! i did the sorting through the m and ms too! classic =) ahh colored popcorn! intriguing
I wouldn't eat red m and m's! hahahaaa I saved them in a special place in my room, since red was my favorite color, hahaaa my little kid logic was to save them in a special container in my bedroom.

I do the EXACT same thing with M&M's or any other colored food in packets like that and I'm 16. I will never grow out of it.
I still do that with m&m's and skittles. Most colorful candies I separate by color, then make sure each of the rows is even in number, if they're not then I eat the extras. Then I eat them by color. haha.
I've always eaten my M&Ms the way that you say you did yours. My Mother always told me it was weird. Now I know I'm not the only one! SO NOT WEIRD! And I still do it. They don't taste as good otherwise.
