Autisable has been around now for about 3 years.
The first year we were focused on how to best serve the Autism Community, and finding content to share.
The second year was all about networking - which we still do to this day. Thousands now blog on Autisable, sharing their journey with Autism and networking with one another.
This past year has been solidifying where we are at - adding another editor to help out with the site - and further establishing our community online.
We continue to do these things as our site grows, because we know that by serving the Autism Community - we are helping people worldwide.
We haven't focused on one thing, not because we didn't want to - but because it just wasn't the right timing.
However, now it's time to expand...
We want to focus on obtaining advertisers for Autisable, one's that people can believe in.
We've always had a way for people to buy ads on the site - and that will remain. After all, there are thousands of people who want to sell a book - or push a product - out to our niche market.
For those who are interested in basic advertising - click here.
I understand the non-profit industry and the budgetary challenges many non-profits have in promoting their cause. That's why Autisable promotes their efforts wherever we can - usually at no charge via facebook/twitter, and with blog posts...
What I'm talking about are the larger companies. One's that see us as an online community that they'd want to be a part of - and where we can provide them appropriate feedback about their products and services.
As with the non-profit organizations that we've networked with - we are wanting to build relationships with advertisers.
With the Autism Community growing exponentially, we want Autisable to be a place where anything about Autism can be discussed freely - and without judgement. This holds true for our potential advertisers - we want to give them a fair share at promoting to the Autism Community, and for our community to provide a fair and honest feedback about their products and services.
It's our voice as a community that makes us able to provide feedback to companies about what is working, what isn't, and what could be improved.
One thing I've realized is that all people within the Autism Community - nonprofit or for profit - want the same thing.... to help families and individuals dealing with Autism. Working together we can do more in this area.
So, over the next several weeks we will be actively promoting Advertising on Autisable. Not necessarily a lot on the site itself (except an article here and there) - but more about contacting companies and seeking them to advertise on Autisable.
This leads me to ask - What Companies do you normally deal with that you trust?
We'd like to contact them first. After all, wouldn't you like the companies that have been helping you in your journey be able to help others?
I look forward to contacting these companies and helping Our Online community even more.
Thanks for sharing your journey on Autisable, even if it's just reading the articles.
