Hope, Encouragement, Support and Solutions were what I needed when it first became clear that my son behaved a little differently from other children. My friends and family did their very best to be supportive, but they didn't really 'get it'. And my son's school had only ever dealt with Asperger's once before, so off I went on-line for help, and quickly found the most wonderful group of Mums and Dads on Facebook, who were all raising kids with various degrees of asd. Many parents were also sharing their experiences, and reading their blogs helped me so much to cope with my son's diagnosis.

Busy BloggersFirst up,
The King and Eye, a hugely successful blog by Jen who has a
3 year old with autism. She writes with large doses of humour about family life, autism and often shares her techie expertise with the rest of us :)
Always entertaining,
Jazzygal has been a regular blogger for more than two years. She writes about life with her hubby and
Wiiboy (who has ASD) and her many and varied interests.
Sometimes serious, but usually really funny, Jean at
PlanetOutreach-ASD describes herself as an ordinary mum of 3 great kids, whose life became extraordinary when her youngest son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3. She writes about life with
Bob and his fab Outreach Unit.
With a fresh style new blogger Z, from
Life as we know it, is documenting the chaotic, unique, crazy, fun, always interesting goings on of a young family with two little supermen, the eldest of which is on the
autism spectrum.
Over at
Looking for Blue Sky I write about stuff that matters to me as well as my
nine-year old son with Asperger's, and my two girls, one of whom has cerebral palsy.
Tabitha posts from time to time at
my fabulous kids. She has three, who between them have
Asperger's, Autism and suspected ADHD, and she writes about their achievements and her battles to obtain services for them.
Finally, our original autie blogger, Hammie from
Hammiesays, who began documenting her life as a mother of
two kids with autism before many of us had ever heard of blogs. And whatever you are dealing with, Hammie probably went through an extreme version and may be able to tell you what helped.
