Autism Toy Story 3 Screening
Watching a movie in a theater can be overwhelming for those with Autism.
The lack of lighting, the film flickering on the screen, and the sound can just be too much.
Sensory friendly films have allowed for families with Autism to go to the movies together.

Well the vid is not playing, but I'm a little lost on why they can't go to a normal theater? I don't know everything about Autism.
@RedZeppelin6@xanga - Some people with Autism are extremely sensitive to sights and sounds, so going to a theater with all the lights and sounds could be too much.
That is a very smart & sensible idea for kids with Autism.

this is a great idea, i'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. also, did anyone else find it strange that the newscaster uses the phrase "suffering from autism"? i know it's considered a disability, but people lead full lives with autism...maybe i read into things too much :/
