  • A Kid Again

Mandi Welbaum, founder of SpecialMomTalk (a website for parents of special needs kids) and MandiMindingMoney has announced that she will be walking for an organization called A Kid Again.

A Kid Again is a non-profit organization that allows a child who is facing a life-threatening illness be a kid again. According to their website, “Over 27,000 children are diagnosed annually with a life threatening illness in America. Today, due to medical advances, most children will fight their illnesses for five to ten years! After spending more than a decade granting wishes, a group of caring individuals from Central Ohio saw one great need … ongoing hope.”

Through adventures, parent’s night out, and hospital visits, the organization does just that: grants on-going hope to the children and their families. For more information about this wonderful organization, please visit the website

The walk is to take place May 22, 2010 at King’s Island in Ohio with a 7:00 a.m. registration. The 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. Also, the first 500 people to register will get into Kings Island FREE on day of the event! The last day to register online is May 18 by twelve noon.
