  • An Affectionate Act - A Kiss.

O.k., so there are definite signs you are looking for when it comes to Nick. Some are good signs and some, well, not so much.

The kiss is the ultimate sign. Whether it is on the road or in the comfort of your own home a kiss means I am happy, you are my friend, I am sorry, I love you.

There are several variations on this theme. There is the blown kiss which is great when you need some reassurance on the go. There is the peck on the lips which is standard equipment when things are really good and there is the kiss on the hand. This is common when traveling. It is almost like he is reassuring himself that you are there and that everything is o.k.

Kisses are also the cure for almost everything that ales you, especially if it was Nick inflicted. Somewhere he learned the power of the simple kiss. It has become one of his most endearing qualities. Nick has a very tender heart. He knows when he has hurt someone and he wants nothing more than to make it better, he genuinely feels bad, hence the kiss.

The kiss is the ultimate sign. It seems so beautiful and powerful in its simplicity, the idea that love is the answer. More than any other emotion, even anger, Nick wants to show his love. He wants to be helpful, he wants people to feel better, he wants you to know that he loves you. The envy and jealousy and petty resentment that seem so common is our everyday lives seem to have no place in his. When he is good he loves.

Where there is such pure love there is God.

Your son looks a lot like you.  He sounds like a really good kid.

To answer the question my son shows affection with hugs.  You know you are in if he gives you a kiss.  The ultimate sign of affection is sharing his toys with you.
