  • NAET Continuing - Anxiety Still an Issue

I recklessly decided to try taking Mike off his anxiety meds, and so he went down by 1/3 of his regular daily dose for about three weeks.

Unfortunately, things didn’t stabilize. He was still anxious, and maybe even more so. So I decided to put him back on the regular dose (clonazepam) and ask the doctor if the dose shouldn’t be higher. He’s adult sized now, maybe 145 lb, five feet 10. What a blessing that he’s no longer overweight, now that he’s off all the other meds!

Our youth group is going on a mission trip shortly, and Mike isn’t going. He’s too anxious I guess. We’re going to Queens, NYC, to operate a vacation Bible school at a mission church.

However, Mike DID overcome his anxiety enough to go on a camping trip as a high school PE class credit. He wanted the credit, not having to dress out, more than he was afraid of canoeing. The trip involved four nights of river camping, and at least three days of paddling in a canoe on the Current River. Now, that sounds like heaven to me, but not to him. So, he accomplished the trip, despite anxiety. I am proud of him.

Meanwhile, Shannon is continuing with NAET treatments. Don’t have anything specific to report at this time.
