I am considering going into occupational therapy. I would like to have autistic children as my main focus. I have a very general idea of what that would entail from some prior discussions with occupational therapists. However, those discussions all took place before I decided to take this route as a career.
Assuming that many of the parents on this board have intimate knowledge of what occupational therapists would do for autistic children I thought I'd ask you to share. Any information, stories, (etc.) you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

My daughter hasn't started OT yet, but when she does, I will let you know what to expect! :) So far, we've done mostly just speech therapy, and she was involved in a special preschool program when we lived in Connecticut.
