Thanksgiving: Craft idea using paint therapy
Many parents of special needs kids want to do fun activities with their children during the holidays. There is one simple task that parents can use incorporating the benefits of paint therapy. Depending on the level of your child is how much supervision he or she will need from you but the majority of kids will be able to participate at some level.
Items you'll need:
One wooden round (found in your local craft store or craft isle at Walmart)
Masking Tape (white or any other festive color)
Paint (various colors)
Paint Brushes
Paper Towels/Newspapers
First, place round with smaller side face up on top of newspapers or paper towels (to protect table underneath). Next, in an asterick ( * ) shape, affix masking tape to make sections. Have the child paint each section a different color (or same if he or she chooses). Once dry, you can use these as great trivets for your thanksgiving table!

Sounds cool. I think I need a visual of how it comes out.
It will give the kids the distraction to stay put...at least for a while.
